Here are all the fairy tales — both user-created and those from the service. We can filter them by the moral we would like to see in the story.

The user initially has a limited number of story generations, and not all the stories from the service are available. To unlock more features, it is necessary to switch to a premium subscription.

On this page, you can access the process of creating a new fairy tale through the button on the banner.

After the launch

Based on the analysis of user activity after the launch of the app, we found that there are two important problems:

Users do not see the “Create Story” button on the main screen due to banner blindness, and do not execute the scenario of creating their own story, which is key in the app;
Upon entering the app, the user immediately saw the main screen, did not know what features the application had, and quickly left it.

Additionally, the client has a need to understand why users primarily download the app and how they plan to use it, which leads to problem 3: we do not understand what the main motivation of the users is.

Solution to problem 1

We changed the story creation button-banner at the top of the screen to a large button that is integrated with other stories.

Result:

The conversion to action increased by 2.2 times compared to the first iteration

Solution to problem 2 and 3

We have added onboarding, through which we interactively tell users about the main features of the application and understand their motivation.

Results:

The time spent in the application increased by 17%
We gathered feedback from users regarding their motivation for using the application for further in-depth development of specific sections

Creating a story

The user begins to create their own story by choosing its details and a hero — this can be either the user's child or a fairy-tale character.

Choosing plot details

The user enters their child's data or selects a character from the list, determines the desired length of the story, the setting, and the moral that will be addressed in the plot.

As a pre-final result, the user receives a story that they can view and edit in the process.

In the end, we have a tale that can be read aloud, recorded on a voice recorder, and listened to at any time. The same functions are available for stories that already exist on the service.
